American Dream Apparel Co. is actually a rebrand of a previous company I created called Man’s Best Friend Apparel Co. Man’s Best Friend started in Winter 2015 when my best friend and I were going through our preppy clothing phase and were disgusted at the fact that brands like Vineyard Vines and Southern Proper were so overpriced. Then Man’s Best Friend Apparel was born out of our desire to provide a cheaper alternative to those who want to live the preppy lifestyle but don’t have the funds. The original Man’s Best Friend was low-key legit, we actually printed samples of t-shirts and had hats made and sold some merchandise through a preorder.
The concept of American Dream was to make the brand more inclusive, dropping the “Man’s Best Friend” from the title to not cause confusion even though “Man” was referring to the overarching term for humans. The name change to American Dream reflects the fun, adventurous, and playful nature of our customers. The Labrador Retriever in the logo is a symbol for that and the arched type is used to encompass all aspects of just thriving and enjoying life.
T-Shirts are the main product produced by American Dream Apparel Co. These are the main logo tees, shown on light and dark tees. Other specialty designs will be sold alongside as well with each depicting different playful/relaxing aspects of life such as going to the beach, going for a hike, driving with the windows down, chilling on a warm and sunny summer day.
